I'm looking for a particular type of cooler that I swear I've seen but can't seem to find now.

It would just be a meshed/grilled metal that bended at the ends into a second layer that would be on the lap. That would allow airflow through the mesh and open sides of the cooler since it would be buffered from ones lap/desk. I think its secondary advertised feature was that because of the spacing the laptop could be kept within when not used. If anyone has seen one of these PLEASE let me know. It seems like the type of thing would be cheap because it would just be formed metal. Particularly a 13" version would be useful.

Same idea, except no fans and a flat bottom surface for a lap. That thing looks quite uncomfortable on the legs. Closest I've seen to what I mean though, thank you.

What Judicator posted is probably what you're looking for. I'm wracking my brain and I can't think of anything that matches the description other than that. The fnas are [re]movable on that cooler. Do you remember any brand name for the cooler you saw?

And just because I like it, Xpad represent.

Don't remember brand or anything, if it was even anything relevant and not a cheapo no-name. I'll post it if I find it, thanks for the help!

you could always use a kitchen cooling rack. look around online for one that suits your needs, such as height and width. i imagine it would be a lot cheaper too.

Again, with the kitchen rack, I imagine it would feel awful to the lap, and the Xpad loses points because it is a place mat. No, I just like solid surfaces for mice or whatever. Thanks though.
