    Hi,

I currently have an IBM T60, and i would like to buy an external battery for it. The catch is that i would like an external battery which is compatible with other laptops as well, as my current laptop is only on loan for another year from my workplace after which i will be getting a new one.

I notice that most external batteries i have seen are only compatible with say Dells or IBMs, but i was hoping that this was only the question of the correct power cable or similar?

Im also looking for a fast USB flash memory stick with 8 or 16GB of memory capacity. I was hoping to buy these things while im visiting the US (im on holiday there now), but i dont know the good places to shop (and since im staying at hotels a few days at a time, mail order is probably not a good idea). So where is a good place to shop electronics?
Im going to Washington D.C. tomorrow and after that to NYC, in both cases i will be staying centrally without access to a car.

for a fast memory stick with a high capacity, i would look into corsair...but this brand is not really sold in stores. An excellent store to shop at is frys electronics, but they do not have any in NY to my understanding.

Too bad. Maybe mail-order to a hotel is actually a viable option? Whats the usual delivery time?

Again too bad, from looking at frys.com it does indeed look like they dont have one in DC or NYC.
