Hi guys. I'm going to buy a gaming desktop but I don't know what gaming headset to buy, the Creative Fatal1ty headset or Alienware Tactx headset?
PS: Please don't go off topic.![]()

Oh yeah, + the Alienware tactx is £10 more.

I assume you are talking about the Creative Fatal1ty MK2 headset. You'll want to buy the MK2 and not the original if possible. I picked that up and all together it's been a decent headset. It is a decent enough for music and gaming. Of course it isn't a Sennheiser or Audio Technica. The detachable mic is a plus. Though the headset can get a bit uncomfortable. Either way I couldn't complain for how cheap I picked them up for.

Neither one. They are both gimmick-y headsets that rely on their branding, more than their quality, to sell product.
If you want a good headset for your money, go with a Corsair HS1 headset (not the HS1A). Much better sound quality, comfort, build quality, and excellent surround effects. Everyone who reviews the Corsair HS1 loves them, especially at their price point. -
^I also vote for neither of those. Check out the Plantronics GameCom 377; it's one of the best stereo headsets you'll ever find under $100, let alone under $50. If you have to have virtual surround (which is a total gimmick if you ask me), check out the 777, which is the same headset with virtual 7.1.

I have the MKII headset... I would not pay over $35 for them...

Love my Plantronics Gamecom 377's! Sound quality is superb and the long cord is nice. My only gripe is the build quality, gotta be extra careful with them.
