** Something I noticed when I took a screenshot is the screenshot shows the TV as if it is a second screen. When I go to multiple monitors in windows, I also see the monitor but the TV itself shows something and just garbage noise comes out of it even though according the laptop, I am using the TV's speakers

Plugged in my laptop to a TV via HDMI.

There's a phillips TV where I am temporarily staying. There's a remote using http://www.cleanremote.com/ but I can't figure out how to get my laptop screen on the TV.

The last room I was at there were easy buttons to tell the TV which input to take. But this one I can only find the buttons shown below.

The owner of the TV doesn't know what to do but there are 3 HDMI's in the back of the TV. It should be relatively easy to get the laptop screen to show up on the TV but I am having trouble. At some point after randomly pushing buttons on the TV I was able to get a menu but was unable to click anything

This is what my remote looks like. It is very unresponsive. Sometimes I get a menu but am never sure which button it is because of:

When I take a screenshot and check multiple monitor settings it seems the TV is recognized but on the actual TV itself in real life I only see black screen and just white noise

Turn off the TV, then turn it back on. That should do the trick.

If it works, I'll explain why.
