    Hi
i want to buy a rugged and fast flash drive
i've considered below flash drives (at least 8 GB)
    OCZ ATV (Turbo)
    Corsair Flash Survivor
    Sandisk Cruzer Titanium

    which one is better?
however i've read so bad reviews about ocz atv in Amazon & Newegg also ocz own support forum! they are complaining about it their flash drives have died after some month or so or slow speed..
what's the fact?! have you faced such troubles?

please help me decide and feel free to advice anything else :D

    Thanks in advance

If I were you I would go with either the Sandisk or the Corsair. I've heard good things about the Sandisk though... :)

My 2gb Sandisk Cruzer Titanium has been great. Through the washer twice and it still works like new.

I also have an old 512mb Cruzer Micro (same as above, but plastic) and it has been through the washer and dryer so many times that the finish is wearing off, it still works like new.

Just remember to get rid of U3.

I have had horrible experiences with the Cruzer Micro's.

There flimsy, plastic casing is sub-par when compared to other Alloy housed USB devices like the Titanium.

If your USB gets alot of "road" time I suggest you invest in a very durable one as I did. Sure it was a couple extra $'s but well worth it.

I also read some of the bad reviews for the OCZ flash drives, but I took a chance and bought one anyway, the OCZ Rally series. I have been using it for the last couple of months and it seems fine. As far as durability is concerned the Corsair that you mentioned is very strong with it's CNC machined casing.

The OCZ ATV Turbo is the best flash drive, very fast and reliable. Too bad Amazon is too expensive and Newegg doesn't sell the Turbo versions. I also recommend the Patriot Xporter XT - also very fast and durable.

Easily the Cruzer Titanium. It's not the fastest, but it is definitely one of the strongest flash drives.

What do some of you think is a good pick for someone (me) who isn't incredibly interested in speed but is more concerned with data protection and durability? What's a good pick? Also, does the brand matter? I've heard many many good things about Kingston drives. Any info would be much appreciated.

I have been using the 16GB Corsair Voyager for about a month here in Afghanistan and I am very pleased with it.

I can no longer use it cept in my laptop which has made it kinda useless, but when I do get my new laptop here it will come in handy to transfer my WoW program folder from old laptop to new. (almost 10GB in data).
