My flash drive will not be recognized or formatted. What I mean is, it shows up in my computer correctly, however when I try to enter it, it says "Please insert a disk into the drive" Therefore I can not format it, or use it in any manner. any suggestions?

Try it in a different USB port. Maybe that will work.
