    Foldable/ Portable Notebook Headset High Quality

    Greetings,
    Im currently looking for a replacement headset for the ones I've been using the past 4-5 years for my portable gaming station (notebook).

    I initially at first tested out some cheap few; but traded them in as they were of bad design/quality/comfort until I went to the middle of the tree and dug in with "Logitech Premium Notebook Headset."

    These were in design perfect, with extremely good sound, but due to flimsy quality (structural weaknesses) they didn't live longer than a year and I fortunately was able to trade them in within guarantee for some new ones.

    I browsed a little and tried out a non-bluetooth wireless headset (poor sound quality) and then I found "Logitech H555 headset" which was the successor and more solid version of the old ones which had the needed improvements and lasted for about (still partially operative) a total of 3-4 years (2y guarantee Norway).

    While I'm extremely satisfied with the small compact size, speaker and mic. quality, the actual wire was coated with a cheap plastic which hardened over the years and eventually cracked here and there exposing the wires and is soon about to break with the rough use I'm putting them through when I travel around the globe.

    Now I need a replacement sooner or later. While H555 is still in the stores, it appears that it will be soon discontinued and I need a similar to that of those.
    I'm sceptical to wireless, I don't mind changing batteries, but poor sound quality is a no-no (constant small silent static - not caused by listening to this device). As I have extremely refined hearing ability according to naval-healthcare (9-9) these things are highly annoying!).

    Is there any similar headset to that of: Logitech H555 out there?
    (the criteria are as following, in descending order :)
    1) High sound quality.
    1) High mic quality.
    2) Solid materials (especially the wire coating!).
    2) Portable/flexible/ compact design (hard casing is a big bonus!)
    2) Preferably priced not higher than the upper-middle of the price tree.
    3) Not over head.

    Does anything like this exist? Or do I have to buy another 3-4 years with H555?
