Could be pretty useful for some DIY projects, but I have not used or needed a cooler in so long that I would probably just be wasting money, still so tempted though.

EDIT: Placed my order for the 3 fans, $9.99 with free shipping apparently.

Awesome find, low cost too! I have this exact cooler but I'm down to only one fan and could really use the 3 fan setup. I'm placing my order tonight!

What I like: Adjustable fan with speed control function, powered by one USB.
    Power: USB 5V DC
    Fan Dimension: 80 x 80 x 10mm
    Fan Speed: 950 ~ 1800 RPM
Fan Speed Adjustment: Clip-on fan speed control
Fan Airflow: 15.4 CFM *single fan
Fan Noise Level (dB-A): 18 dBA (Min.)

this is a good deal, but unfortunately, the fans are not good quality at all. i am on my third set of fans for my U2. the ones that came with the cooler started to make grinding noises after two months. i contacted CoolerMaster to change the fans under warranty, and they sent me a new pair, which again made grinding noise after a month and a half. i contacted them again, and they sent me another pair which i'm currently using.

You must have bad luck darxide_sorcerer. I've had a U2 and U3 for a couple years now and no issues with the fans. I'm not saying they're like a Scythe or anything but 3 fans on USB for $9.99 is a good deal. They're hard to find at 5v with decent airflow.

    +rep.

My original U2 fans failed several months ago. Up to now, i had been jury rigging my own fans using the USB plug from my U2 and some el cheapo desktop case fans. Though the case fans require a 12V power source, it only takes a little flick of the fan to get it started and they run quite well on just 5V (just not enough power to start them up, hence the flick). The only downside of the stock U2/U3 fans is that they don't push much air (15CFM isn't a lot); the upside is that they are nearly silent :)

Would the three fans from the U3 fit in the body of the U2?

It's tight but possible. I did that. I own an U3 and U2 and took the fans off my U3 and put on U2. I fixed my own 140mm fan on my U3.

Thanks! That's good to know. I think I'll give it a try. I have a U2 now, but would like to see if I could get a little more cooling from three fans. :)

I've also got the U2 and ordered the 3 fans. Even if its a tight fit, I'd be OK with that anyways. 3 fans are better than 1! :D

If I decide to not be lazy today (took day from work) I'll post a photo with the three fans.

I've been looking for these. I saw some on eBay for more than the cost of the U3! Yeah RIGHT! But these, I'll definitely be buying.

Pity they don't seem to be able to ship to places like Australia, but even if they did, I'd be wondering what the shipping cost would be. I just bought the U3 yesterday from a local store and got it for next to nothing (not literally, but you get the drift). I was really surprised by the low price.

Reading some of the earlier posts on this thread, it appears that some users have had the fans go out within a few months of usage. But in general, how long should I expect the fans to last? Given the price of the entire setup, I'd gladly buy again if the fans stopped working, but of course, the more reliable, the better.

I've had my fans over a year now. They last but when dust builds up on the fans it can start making some noise. Its really weird because the noise will go away after a few seconds. It sounds like plastic hitting plastic almost.

While cleaning one of the fan's blades I accidentally broke off some fins. I ended up ripping the fan off so I was down to just one fan.
