    Hey,

I got this problem where my docking station worked about few weeks ago without any kind of problems. But knowing my luck and how smoothly overall my life is rolling downhill.... Anyway I plugged the docking station into my laptop and couldn't do anything at all. It simple doesn't recognize it so I could access the files. Funny thing is that laptop gives the signal that usb device has been connected and in devices and printers it shows as 'ASM1051' which I believe is false, but not sure either.

I'm running laptop with win 7 and by the time when I got the docking station I get it work by plugging usb stick into laptop and unplugged, after that plugged docking station and it started to work. Althought this problem was only in my laptop. But I'm pretty sure that it's not usb port failure, because each port works like they should. (tested each of them)

Docking station is piece of *** Deltaco which were quite cheap so I wouldn't be suprisd if I need to throw the whole thing throught the window someday. I'm using regular 2.5" hdd.

    Facts:
    - Deltaco docking station (worked earlier not anymore)
    - No problems with usb ports (checked them all)
    - No problem with usb cable (tested another cable) (althought I couldn't test the tes cable so I need to buy another cable to be 100% sure after I have checked the testtest cable)
    - 2.5" HDD tested two of them and neither worked
    - Laptop recognize usb device when docking station is plugged (but maybe false device)
    - While hdd in docking station it makes sound so it's on? both of them

Further questions if needed I will answer gladly. Althought I don't give a *** no more since I lost hope on docking stations and bought punch of usb sticks. But the time when I bought docking station I was "ummm intrestin that sound awsome". Anyway thanks if you can share your thoughts.

Want a proper docking station? Simple, you must buy a middle of the line or higher Business Class Laptop. Consumer and Gaming and low end business class do not have proper docking solutions. USB docks are not real docks. Any less won't do.
