Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away.... I ordered a laptopand I got the tracking number today so I need to tie up some loose ends for this wonderful little machine. It's a Sager NP 5790 (yay me), and I've picked out a Linksys WRT54GL for my home's wireless network. Now I just need to get my space setup.
I'm not convinced that I need a keyboard since the 5790 has a full keyboard which I love, but I definitely want a nice wireless mouse, and some pretty decent speakers, I'm not too picky. Taking my friend's advice I checked my local Wal-Mart of all places to see if they had anything nice, and I came across this:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5079276
A Logitech combo that includes a wireless keyboard, mouse, and some speakers to match. The price here says about $33, but at my sore its actually $40 but it's not a big difference. I am curious, however, about the possible quality of the item. It's a bit much to be selling all three together for such a low price, there's probably a catch.
Anywho, since it's a 5790 you all can probably guess I'm a gamer. For a mouse, I'm looking for something wireless and pretty reliable as far as battery life goes. The whole 1/500th of a second delay movement hoohah doesn't mean much to me, since I'm not exactly a hardcore gamer in the category that would probably be ideal for (First Person Shooter), and I'm not big on Player vs. Player for that matter either. Just to give you an idea, here are 5 of the most recent games I've played:
Phantasy Star Universe
City of Heroes / Villains
Silkroad Online
R.O.S.E. Online
Priston Tale
So ya, I'm an RPG guy. I point and click but that fraction of a second speed on the higher up mice won't make or break me.
As far as speakers go? You've got me on that, since I haven't a clue about them in general. So long as they have a nice sound to them, that's all I'm really looking for.
So, if anyone has a few recommendations for me to check out, I would be forever in your debt.Cheers~!

the set that you linked looks like it is a budget pack. for a mouse, you can get some good logitech cordless mice that are reasonably high quality. but overall, its generally what feels comfortable in your hand.
as for keyboards, i don't think they make that much of a difference. have a tap away at some, and see if you like the feel of the keys, sizes etc.
for the speakers however, i reccomend that you don't skimp out. get a decent 2.1 and your ears will thank you for as long as you use them. logitech x-230 is a good set that springs to mind.
Found a router, now I need accessories~ (mouse, speakers, etc.)
