Has anyone seen (more importantly, used) this funky product. It appears in the Aug. issue of Mobile PC and I'm always looking for a way to be more productive. It's a green (green...frog...get it?) external keyboard that only has about 30 keys. Letters and symbol are combined on keys and some are accessed while pressing another key. While it looks funky and somewhat like a good idea, the makers say that after 10 hours of practice, one could easily hit 40 words a minute. Who the heck has time to practice for ten hours!?!?!? If anyone has used one of these, how do you like?

This was big in the PPC forums early this year. It may be useful for a PDA, but I can't see the need for it wth a laptop. Besides, I think they want $250 for it; massive rip-off. I think most people are unwilling to learn a new typing system anyway.

Hmmmm. I agree, a 10 hour learning curve is a bit much and it does seem to make more sense for a PDA rather than a laptop. It intrigued me because I use public transportation alot and I always seem to end up behind the fat guy that decides he needs to recline all the way back. I was looking at this as an alternative to typing directly on the keyboard, in the interest of space, but 10 hours......I can't get that out of my head. I got frustrated trying to learn the recognition system on PDAs after about 10 minutes....been tapping away at the virtual keyboard ever since.
