    Future reference on headset...

I'm looking for a usb headset so that I will be able to hear my speakers with out blocking out any sound.

I'm wanting to be able to use my speakers while I game, but the boom mic that I have now picks up the speakers and the headset I have now blocks out too much sound.

The reason I want usb is because I want a separate sound device. I want the game sounds to come though the speakers and be able to talk on Skype or Ventrilo using the headset, making it clear for me and other people to hear.

Do you guys have any suggestions?
A High quality mic is preferred. (As long as there is no static)

Boom mics with speakers are a touch combination. You aren't going to be able to cut out the sound from the speakers without cutting into the quality of your voice transmission.

I use to do this in L4D. I ended up having to switch from hands-free to Push to Talk because the feedback/excess chatter was pissing off my team. Then I got a decent headset.

    Team > speakers.

I already do use push to talk in l4d.

For example my friend has a cheap logitech headset (Non-USB).
He can play his music really loud over his speakers and I would never know he was playing music, but I could still hear him talk over Skype.

    This is what I want.
To use the headset for skype or ventrilo or a mic for any other game, then listen to the game sounds from my speakers, but with the voice sound from skype coming to the headset.
