Hi guys, I was thinking about buying one of these G-Pad coolers for my MacBook. Anyone have any comments on it's performance or any other suggestions for that matter? Thanks!
They also seem to have won one of these:

for a macbook pro i would suggest something with active cooling. from what ive seen on the older generations of macbooks they have passive cool already. im not sure if they even have fans in them. im pretty sure they do but i have not seen an air intake grill for the ones ive seen. u should try the Zalman ZM-NC1000. works well for most notebooks. u get air all across the bottom of ur computer so there are no deadspots.

Still...I wanted something compact and I'm still kind of curious about the performance of this sucker... -
From the reviews ive read it really depends on your laptop and well, the best active coolpad should perform better than the best passive one.
with this g-pad thingy, your laptop has to be totally flat at the bottom otherwise it is useless.
the zalman is a much better cooler and it's zalman, theyve always done well with this crap, gigabyte are a bit newer at this.
perhaps you should try the thermaltake ixoft if u want portability -
I have just (1hr ago) bought a Coolermaster Notepal infinity which is similar to a NC-1000, I previously had a normal notepal for over a year, couldnt resist the bargain ($20USD but i bought it in HK) so i bought the infinity.
I will post some stats later or perhaps even a mini review. -
