Hi, i just wanted to see what everyone think about these 2 gaming mouse. I plan to get 1 soon but not sure which is better.

    Razor Mamba vs Cyborg R.A.T.9

    Mamba
Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.? | Online Store - Razer Mamba? Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse | Gaming-Grade Wireless Technology | Dual Mode Wired/Wireless Functionality | Razer Synapse? Onboard Memory | Charging Dock | Buy Online

    R.A.T.9
Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 9 Wireless Gaming Mouse at Xoxide!

I like both looks and heard great reviews about them. Mamba looks very sleak and smooth but RAT9 is full of customization. They both will make my AW look great and perform great but i was leaning toward RAT9's looks. Tell me what you guys think.

    Thanks

I am in love with my Mamba. It's everything I could want out of a mouse. 5,600 DPI and 1ms wired or wireless response, and 7 buttons, with a very comfortable form factor. The R.A.T.9 looks much the same in terms of specs, but it looks rather awkward to me. I prefer a mouse that has a good comfortable shape as it is, not a Transformer. :p

Check out Best Buy; they often have a bunch of gaming mice on display for people to get a feel for. Last I checked, they had the DeathAdder on display, which is essentially the same form factor as the Mamba.

In fact, I'd say it's a bit better than the DeathAdder; it has non-slip rubber grips where you put your thumb and pinkie as well as the side buttons, instead of the glossy black fingerprint-magnet plastic of the DeathAdder.

You can kinda see it here:

i dont see how anyone could turn down the RAT 9 for a mamba at this point, its way more customizable and looks totally wicked. You should get the RAT 9 and post some reviews on it here :) You'll be a little more special with the RAT 9 imho...

Any idea when http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/devices/7244?WT.ac=GSeries|7295|G700Getthedetails is coming out? I'm looking for a great wireless lazer mouse that will work on any surface with the micro usb receiver. I was also looking @ the super button MMORPG razer mouse but those buttons seem odd to push. I play MMORPGs, and I currently use the MX Revolution. It has a single button below the mousewheel / mouse 3 that I like to use as my "Oh Sh*t" button. Vanish / Iceblock / Bubble ect. I like having some isolated buttons, but the mamba doesn't have as many as the Revolution, though.

Edit: Yea, the mamba seems perfect. Does it have a micro usb receiver?

getting my mamba today, but I've been on a Mx518 for years now and it's definitally one of the best mice I've owned so far. Hoping to be amazed with the mamba

no it does not, it's got a huge dock and is wireless only in the strict sense, I wanted a micro reciever high performance mouse like the G700 but didn't really want get into an unknown waiting game. The mabma is a wired mouse that can go wireless sometimes, the G700 is a 'mobile' laptop mouse that can be pickedup and taken to lan parties, big difference. Id' just avoid the MMO mice, unless you're one of those people that devote 12 hours a day to raiding. I'm sure it's one of those things where it gets better as you learn the macro locations, but a keyboard works just fine too..
this is the standing recharger and reciever dock for the mamba, you can 'plug it in' via a USB port to recharge it too if you don't want to use the smexy stand to recharge it.

they're both the same ridiclous amount, $130. Oh, you mean buying both lawl..

That's retarded. I may just keep my MX Revolution with the micro receiver.

word, the only reason I bought it is because I got the free giftcard from dell for purchasing the CC warranty, so I only spent $35 for it total. Quoted battery time is 14hours non-stop gameplay, 72hours normal useage/game play. Batteries are li-ion rechargeable, 2 year general warranty, 6 month warranty on the batteries. The G700 is probaly similar in terms of battery usage since it uses the same polling rate technology and 5600DPI laser, but at least it acutally is wireless enough for a laptop.

lol no i got the mamba for only $99 from amazon but i probably will not keep it base on what you said. I fell in love with the RAT 9 at first site and will likely to get it when price lower. Mamba will do for now.

just got it a few minuites ago, first thing you'll notice is presentation and just overall quality feel. I have fairly big hands too and it sits comfortably in my hand which is a plus. It's all black with Blue LED's and fits the looks of the M17X better than the MX518 so I'm happy

engaget says it's only about a day of heavy use, or a few days idle
Logitech G700 mouse and G930 headset review -- Engadget

The good thing is that it uses a rechargeable AA battery, where as the Mamba uses a square cell-phone type battery. You probally get more from the mamba, but I'm sure the battery costs more too.

yeah I read that, but review from crunchgear.com says otherwise:
Review: Logitech G700 Wired/Wireless Gaming Mouse

Edit: I think it depends on polling rate setting, the higher it goes, more battery hungry it becomes

I'd also take a look at the Logitech G9x. I was buying some time ago when the Mamba first came out and I found one at Fry's. It’s an awesome mouse, but I perfected the feel of the G9x.

Its personnel choice really, so have a grope before you buy.

Also pay attention to how you hold mice, you'll either pharm it or use your finders and outer hand (kind of free floating). I found the Mamba to suite pharmers and the G9x free floats under your hand, which I prefer. Again personnel choice...
