im looking to upgrade my mouse from a MX518, I only have these 2 choices and the Sidewinder costs abit more than the Habu but not much.
What are the pros and cons of each and which one would you recommend?
ill be using it for normal internet browsing and light gaming.
thanx in advance

What's wrong with your MX518? It's still one of the best mice available (I use one myself)!
Unless your MX518 is faulty, I honestly don't see the point in "upgrading" to either of those other two, just for light gaming and surfing the internet?
If you're determined to get one or the other however, your best bet would be to try and find a store which has them on display, and test them.
Failing that, you should read a few reviews of each, to see what the respective pros and cons are? -
I like the sidewinder, the Habu feels like a cheap/tacky Deathadder to me.

I have to get rid of the MX518, its gets dirty really quickly and its annoying me badly. Due to the smooth surface of the mouse there is always dirt and residual building up on the buttons, im sick and tired of having to clean my mouse everyday. I want a mouse that doesnt get dirty.

avoid both IMO.
May i ask what all games do u play & what type of gamer are u ? casual or serious? -
Logitech G5 has a matte coating and will probably be familiar to you since you use an MX518.

I agree with elfroggo. The G5 is very nice. Just to let you know, I got to compare it right next to the 518. It is about a 1/4" smaller in length than the 518.
I tried the MS sidewinder today and I personally did not like the feel. The mouse was very flat, meaning that it does not have that arc that curves with your hand. I would find this very uncomfortable and I think I would defenetly get hand pain in a short time. Just my opinion. -
I've purchased way too many mice (Logitech G9, Razer Copperhead / Death Adder / Lachesis, Habu, MS Sidewinder, Ideazon Reaper Edge, etc...) and the Ikari Steel series Laser is the best I've used to date:

Excellent ergonomics, driverless operation, 1-3200 cpi adjustability at 1-tic increments... too many things to cover.
EDIT: between the Habu and Sidewinder... the Habu's removable button set-up flexed way too much for my taste. I'd give the edge to the Sidewinder if it fits your hand properly.
