I was an xbox gamer up until about 18 months ago when I got my Toshiba. I've used my trusty old M305 that whole period, but with my current WoW obsession I'm thinking I should get an upgrade.
The Razer naga seemed somewhat appealing, but with that pricetag, along with the fact that I have 0 experience with more than 2 buttons on a mouse, I decided, not yet. The razer orochi seems like a fit. Make some use out of my bluetooth, only 2 side buttons, and if maybe I can jam my pinky and use the buttons on the right side...
Basically, it's come between the Orochi and the Logitech G700. The G700 has more buttons if I can get the dexterity to use them, higher DPI, and a higher rating. The Orochi is bluetooth, is smaller (I have pretty small hands), looks cooler, and has a lower pricetag. So I'm stumped and, since I'm new to mice in general, could someone give me a different recommendation and/or explain to me which one of these you think would be better for me. (Wireless is a priority too, along with a non 7ft cord. I'm a laptop gamer. :p )

Think of the Orochi more as a wired gaming mouse that can be used wirelessly while on the go. It's not that good for gaming wirelessly, since BT is inherently laggy. Of the two, I would go for the G700, but know that the Naga is really good for WoW.

Had my orochi for over a year now and still going strong. Great little mouse for using on the go. ;)

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 running Resurrection Remix

I'm also hearing now that the G700 has horrid battery life. What makes the G700 so much better than the M705, besides the extra buttons and higher (though not necessarily needed) DPI? And is BT really that bad? 8ms poll doesn't seem too bad, but maybe that's not the real rate..? This is a seriously hard decision, and I need to make up my mind by tomorrow.

If you don't think you need the extra buttons, higher polling, or higher DPI, then I guess you don't really need a gaming mouse.

Hard to hear, but maybe true. I think I'm going to go with a MMO specific mouse and hope my thumb's dexterity is indeed enough.

Logitech G600 or Razer Naga? Is there a wireless version of the G600, because other than price it does have much over the Naga. The naga seems to be more fitted for smaller hands, so I think I'm going to go with the Naga unless the G600 keypad is easier to get used to. I might go and see if I can get a feel for them at a local store and see if there's a possibility I can make use of all the buttons.

I would definitely recommend trying them out. As for thumb dexterity, when I played wow I used the keypad on my naga mostly for cool downs and consumables. Trying to use it for your basic attacks and spells is just asking for thumb cramps.

    Razer Deathadder. Hands down.

But Orochi is great too. Just too freaking small for me and I can't and never will game with a wireless mouse. :))

I suggest you go to your local Futureshop/Bestbuy or other retailer and try out as many mice as you can for fit. I love the Deathadder for example while one of my friends games with an Orochi. Mice are person :p you have to deal with it all the time and it has to fit right like clothing.

I really recommend the Razer Naga. If you ever decide to delve into games like games like WoW or SWTOR, controls will be so much easier (no need to macro since you have complete control over your abilities). BUT if you still want to count it out, the Orochi is a great product (as are most Rzaer prodcuts). You cannot go wrong.
