Well I'm sure you've heard this a lot- I'm a gamer looking for the best mouse out there. I don't mind spending a few hundred to get a top-of-the line mouse.
-
I would suggest the Logitech MX Revolution..I dont own it..but I really like the MX line and I've see, and used it in person
it's a great mouse if you got dough
-
Just bought the Razer death adder and its a gaming mouse, i really like it when you move it, its smooth or glides across the mouse pad and you can custimize the settings to the way you want it and the mouse is specificly designed for gaming, i use it with BF2 and WoW and it wors flawlessly.

Get the Razer Diamondback 3G, you won't regret it.. Just got mine today..aw man I creamed my pants every second.. lol
Responsive, sexy, glides over everything, great quality..and pretty good pricing. -
start with what feels comfortable. your the one going to be using it, so you want one that you like the feel of.
-
The Razer's and the Logitech G5 seem to be the best options out there, or the G7 if you want a wireless mouse. The G7 isn't made anymore so it might be hard to get but there are still a few out there. The MX Revolution is a great mouse (i have the VX Revolution myself and ik totally love it), but it isn't made for gaming. If you don't need the resolution and you want a superb wireless mouse the Revolutions are worth checking out though.
edit: Razer seems to have a new flagship; the 4000dpi Razer Lachesis. That seems to be the leading gaming mouse in terms of resolution atm. A good second is the Logitech G9 with 3600 dpi. -
The preferred choices include
-MX518, G5, or G9 from Logitech
-Anything from Razer's line of mice
-the Ikari from Steelseries "looks" promising..
-and of course.... My personal choice..
Logitech and Razer's mouses are very different in shape and feel, so if you have a chance to try them out... that'll be a good idea. -
i recommend the Razer Death Adder.
good precision, not too heavy on the pocket and lastly, very comfortable. they took the mold directly from MS mice and it is the most comfortable mouse for right handers. -
i have an mx518 and i absolutely love it!!
-
One question. I'm using Logitech MX1000 bust since I'm buying a laptop I was thinking of getting wired mouse because charging station for MX1000 is just too big and it needs AC adapter. How is Death adder or Diamondback compared to MX1000 in size.

I can help u here,, Deathadder is the best mouse ....its perfectly weighed, its perfectly sized (neither too big, nor too small), its priced lower than logitech top end mice and yet it gives a better performance..
Buy Deathadder.....i bought it and didnt have slightest disappointment.
See this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=180656&highlight=mouse+benchmarking -
Deathadder and diamondback 3g have the same sensor, so the difference is mostly shape. fingertip=diamondback hand=deathadder -
Anything in Razer's product line is awesome
-
The best feeling mouse I've ever tried is the Razer Deathadder. I would use it but just can't give up my Bluetooth Logitech V270. I had a Deathadder in my hand that was on sale at Circuit Sh!tty and I just couldn't do the 'wire'
If there really is a divine spirit, Razer will produce for me a Bluetooth Deathadder which I will gladly pay big bux for -
I second the MX518 from logitech...it s the best gaming mouse i ever used
-
Another vote for the Deathadder, assuming you want a corded mouse. If you want cordless, the MX Revolution. I love 'em both.
-
If you're deciding between the diamondback and copperhead.. copperhead wins. Can't comment on the deathadder though..
-
please get a death adder for your own good. IT is the most comfortable mouse i have ever seen/used. The look of it is very ergonomic and stylish. Ontop of that it is extremely responsive and never skips. THe rubberized coating dries your hands quickly incase they perspire while gaming. trust me you will NOT regret getting a death adder.
-
course, I never really have it plugged in.. -
The Copperhead is a great mouse. I've been using it for months with no complaints. The only thing that a prospective buyer should know is that it is long but narrower than other mice. If you have big hands it may be uncomfortable. The best thing to do is find a store that sells them (Compusa did) and hold it to get an idea.
Gaming mouse- where do I start?
