I'm getting a Razer Naga mouse and I was just wondering what your thoughts are about it.

WAY too many buttons. It is pretty sensitive and they took into consideration that you're going to be gripping over to the side a little and tilted the scroll wheel. I think the buttons kind of annoying when trying to use the mouse long term with my thumb flat against the side, but if you're planning to do something like WoW with it, you cant beat all the macros!

Yeah, I changed my mind and decided to get the Imperator instead. I just ordered it.

If you play alot of RPG's and RTS games, then the Naga is perfect. For someone like me, those buttons would be totally wasted though, as I primarily play FPS games.

I play FPS games too, and I was going to use the buttons to change weapons, get in cars, etc. But then I read it doesn't have dpi-changing-on-the-fly so I decided to get a Imperator.

I know, I just liked the extra mouse buttons. And yes, dpi change is VERY important for FPS games. Almost required to be good.

I disagree with that, I virtually never change my DeathAdder's DPI, and I do just fine.

If you change roles (sniper, riflemen, etc.) alot it's important.

My son got me a razer naga and though it looks kool and handles easily, I have problems using it in World of Warcraft while I am using dual monitors (laptop screen and additional Samsung monitor). Every time I try and use a function it switches me to the other screen. So I will try using the naga whne I am using my laptop in the living room or other places and go back to my old but steady Razer Diamondback.

I disagree as well, I've never used the dpi switch on my copperhead in any fps I've played despite roleswitching.

I just got the naga, frys had a sale on them for 59.99.
It does have the ability to change sensitivity up and down, I'm just not sure how to keep that setting in games.

a good mouse is made even greater with a gaming grade mouse pad. i suggest you get one too.
i have the naga (and the copperhead, lachesis, mamba, orochi LOL) and it's the best mmorpg mouse i have used to date. and agree this is a waste to use for FPS, i use my lachesis and mamba at home for the fps because i like being able to switch dps on the fly.(high sens in firefights and lower sens during sniping)
