I'm looking for a mp3 player to use with Rhapsody to go.
Does anyone have any experience with one of these players?

Creative. iRiver is buggy, and gigabeat isn't too great either. The Creative Zen Vision:M looks awesome. My friend has experience with the iRiver H10. It works most of the time. However, sometimes it didn't charge, another time all his songs got deleted, and some other time, it turned itself on in the middle of the night and drained the batteries. Here's an extensive review of the Zen Vision:M

I would have recommended my favorite player, the iAUDIO X5, but it doesn't work well with DRM.

    Thanks for the info.
I guess I will go for whatever is the cheapest if they are all buggy anyway...

If you go with creative, i would be careful updating the firmware. So far, i've lost 2 Creative (Micro Zen, Zen Touch 20) when the firmware was being updated.

I having been a member of both dapreview.com and headfi.com for a few years am quite experianced with MP3 players.I can honestly say that over my owning several of each of these brands, that creative would probably be your best bet. Creative is more user friendly as it is, simple useable interfaces, long battery life, solid construction and great overal sound. Iriver is more advanced, if you want full EQ options and ability to play lossless music then go iriver (typically more expensive as well).

If you get tired of boring unamped sound, PM me and i will get you started with $200 portable amps, $70 connector cables, and $500 audiophile Grado headphones. Expenisve but fun hobby! *insert evil smile*

    Thanks for letting me know...
I will keep that in mind.

    Thanks for your help.
    I'm only looking for a mp3 player with;
    - decent shuffle function
    - minimum lockups/freezes
    - at least 20GB HD size
    - compatible with rhapsody to go
    - around $200

Iriver H10, Gigabeat, and creative sleek are the 3 players that are under my budget. Which one would you recommend? Is Creative sleek any good?

I've only owned Creative MP3 players so far, with an exception of a Sony Walkman, and I've been nothing but impressed on their quality of sound.

The thing is, their customer service ain't that good...

In other news, I bought the Creative Vision:M, which is an awesome unit :D

Yeah the sleek is one of the newest, i belive they have a color screen version out, but if thats not important get the monochrome. Its a slim, sexy and very good sounding player, im not sure of the rhapsody compatibility with any of them, i never used those services (im sure you can look that up easy.)

I would say go with that, battery life is also decent and the software is easy to use. Gigabet is also pretty nice, slick looking as well. Its pretty much up to you on style/price preferences, they will all offer about the same features. I still think the sleek is the highest quality and will last a long time. You probably wont have a problem with any one you choose, good luck and post pictures of whatever one you get!

Good choice. I have always been a creative fan. I own a creative zen micro, and a creative travelsound mp3 and both work great! Very high quality and great sound quality! ;)
