    Hey everyone,

Does anyone know of any good glossy computer monitors? I am upgrading my LCD to something new and am trying to find one with a glossy finish. A friend of mine has an out of production LG with a glossy screen and it looks SO nice.

I am looking for it to be 22-24inches, and no more then $250.

I have been looking through newegg, but they never specify if the monitor has a glossy or matte screen, all they say is that the LCD cabinet is glossy. Its REALLY frustrating because it makes it impossible to shop for the monitor I want.

So does anyone know of any good glossy monitors?

    Thanks!

Most of the LED panels by Samsung or LG are glossy.

Personally, the Matte ones are better for desktop use... the panels are better on desktop monitors anyways, so matte only makes it that much better. I got the Asus 23" around c-mas.

As stated, it's all personal choice. After using both, I prefer glossy, as long as their is some sort of anti-reflective coating.

I'm for matte all the way. Glossy panels are typically way too reflective for me. For desktop you can always set it up so that even glossy works. But for laptop, I found it a bit annoying at times.

Can't help with the desktop LCD though. I know the expensive HP Dreamcolor are among the best (but also most expensive), if you look for high quality. :)

    Well the title says:

    LG E2350V-SN Glossy Black 23"

So I'm assuming its Glossy. ;)

Glossy vs Matte is a long winded debate.. but mainly the differences are:

Glossy: Pictures, Games, Movies look better.. tends to bring out/brighten colors.

Matte: Tends to be much easier on the eyes and text looks a lot better. Softer colors. Easier to read for long periods of time without feeling eye strain.

yes it says that in the title because the CASE is glossy black. Theres no way to tell if a monitor is glossy or matte!

Dell SP2309w. Hands-down the best monitor I've ever owned. 23", glossy, looks great, and higher than 1080p resolution.
