Anything under $30? I saw one at Walmart the other day but it didn't have 5 buttons

Pretty much any optical or laser mouse will work on a bed, though not as well as on a flat surface. If I were you, I'd get a hard mousepad, or just use a hardcover textbook or something. It'll make your mouse motion much more consistent, regardless of what mouse you use.

Do you plan on doing any gaming with this mouse?

A Logitech Performance MX can pretty much track on all surfaces, and i can use mine in bed without a mousepad.
I could probably play Battlefield 3 with it in bed and still get decent scores. xD

But its not under 30 US dollars, but worth the price premium.
