    Seems more like the type that plugs into a headphone and mic jack with USB as power source. Take a look at the SteelSeries 5H v2.

    not saying that $50 can't get a good headset, just that the one you picked is probably not the best for $50.

    Yea that audiofx2 does not look very reliable. Check out newegg they have some good ones with reviews.

    I have the Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250 and it is pretty good. I never used it for online voice chat or gaming but I did record some stuff with it and am pleased. I really don't think you could be disappointed if you bought them from this eBay this. They are used but come at a great discount.

    I don't know what is important to look for in a headset, but I like the Logitech because it sounds good (to me; I had to use it for music for a while when my headphones went out), it's comfortable, and the brand name is trustable.

    There is a nice Logtech one - 30 Pounds on Amazon UK - I think its "Clear chat pro" or something like that and has a USB slot.

    Got that ordered for my grandfather :D - good sound from the micrphone - at leat I think so.
