Belkin makes good HDMI cables.

it really doesn't matter
digital: you either get signal or no signal. there is no in between. -

what is that supposed to mean?

The cheapest one you can buy is just as good as the mid-range I won't say they are as good as the MOST expensive.

clarification:
digital does not degrade signal quality, it only becomes corrupt (no signal). If the data at the recieving end is corrupt, then you get no signal. the degradtion has to be pretty bad in order to change square wave voltage levels to resemble another voltage level, and thus, the signal becomes corrupt (eg. packet fails checksum)
analog, on the other hand, uses fluid changes between voltage levels (a wavy wave), and so the smallest bit of disortion from interference will change the voltage level by a little bit (and the device will interpret that as part of the signal because there is no checksum, and voltage level changes are very small), and because analog does not use checksums, the device will take that signal and do whatever it has to with it.
in other words: if you get a signal with HDMI, its the best signal you can get, even if your cable is moe's junk yard finds -
