I'm wanting to get a 17in laptop pretty soon but im worried about how to carry it around. Right now I have a 14in and it fits in my laptop backpack perfectly but I'm a little worried about a 17in. Are there any good ones that yall recommend that aren't super huge? I like the site ebags and the brand jansport if there are any out there. Thanks and any information is greatly appreciated.

Sold. I found the TXL617 for $16 more on amazon as well. I saw the Ibex at Best Buy a few days ago and I personally think the size is fine and is quite roomy while being constructed well.

You guys think they are strong enough that I wouldn't have to worry about them breaking while on my motorcycle?

You think swiss gear and targus make good backpacks and they would be durable enough to handle a motorcycle ride.

I am just thinking if a 17" would actually fit into one of those backpacks without the backpack being so big.

When I used to have my M570TU, I used a 17 inch Zeroshock. But since my W870CU doesn't fit in the Zeroshock, I now use a WaterField SleeveCase.

It's actually a great bag, and I need a big one. To fit a laptop, power supply, mouse, 4+ textbooks, a binder, and a notepad, you need a pretty large bag.

I'm sure you could cut down the size if you limited space the just the essentials. However, for most people that would necessitate the purchase of an additional bag for the rest of their stuff. An option I'm still considering.
The camo one is ugly, but the style of the pack is sleek.
Read my review before you purchase this one.
My HDX is 18" but I've yet to see one sleeve (or backpack) sold as being able to fit those dimensions. The only reason I bought the Targus XL 17 was because someone else said it would fit--and it does. But I don't want to buy a sleeve that doesn't cover the entire laptop, and the dimensions don't really tell you much when you're at the limit.
