I just got a CODi UltraLite Hybrid Messenger (Codi C2300) for Laptops up to 15.6 Inches.

On my own accurate scale, it weights in at 1 lb 10 oz., which agrees with Amazon's "1.7 pounds" estimate.

Newegg had it on sale, and I paid $24.99 with free shipping.

I see that Amazon has now lowered their price to the same, see: Amazon.com: CODi Ultra Lite Hybrid Messenger for Laptops up to 15.6 Inches, Black with Red/Grey Accents (C2300): Computers & Accessories

The unit actually has two padded compartments, either of which fits my 15.6" T530 w/ it's bulky 9 cell battery. There's a full sized flap on the side that has the "Codi" name and red zipper.

The unit has a lot of pockets and zippers inside it, which is not obvious from the pictures on the above link.

I been using this, Higher Ground - 13" Cases they are so portable, you don't have to remove your laptop.

How's CODi UltraLite Hybrid Messenger interior?

Nice link with nice looking cases.

    Which one are you using?

The sides are fairly well padded, and the nylon(?)/synthetic fabric is strong and yet lightweight.

I personally don't consider a case permitting laptop use, via full opening, either a plus or a minus.

Meaning that the 15" Codi C2300, that I have, requires that you remove your laptop in order to use it. It measures (by my tape measure): 17"x11"x2.75" WxHxThick, has two full pockets (which can fit my T530), one with no pockets and the one under the flap with extra zippers and pockets, and the full front flap adds another .4" to overall thickness. It weights 1 lb 10 oz.

I like it because it is the smallest case that I have that carries both my T530 and X220 laptops at the same time, with a bit of space to spare. Also has an outside zippered flat pocket (the red zipper), and enough inside extra small pockets under the flap.
