With black friday and boxng day coming up I wanna fish around for some really good headphones. I
currently have Steelseries 5h V2 and I really like them, but would love to step up with the sound quality.
I want deaper bass, since it's not really existent in mine, want richer enviroment and something that could cancel outside noise if possible.
I'm looking for something at $100-300 range.

At that price range you probably want either the ATH-A700 or the DT770. I can only vouch for the A700, but I hear the DT770 has more bass. The ATH-M50 is also a good alternative, but the DT770 might still be better. Best to try them all out if you can.

Just a clip-on mic or something similar and get a good headphone.

The DT770 are a good bet for bass.

The other thing that can cause lack of bass is just under powering headphones. You may find yourself with better results and a better foundation to build upon for the future to just get a nice DAC/AMP for now and see how it helps your current headphones.

If no joy, then when you do get a good pair of headphones you will be doing them much more justice.

Something like the Fiio E10 has built in bass boost and is very well priced.

Trust me you will thank me later :D

I have to agree with Vicious. Beyerdymanic DT770 + external headphone amplifier / DAC (like the Fiio he listed) would be a great bet. Audio Technica headphones are incredible headphones for their clarity and quality. But I have to say, that they present a more balanced sound, and will probably not deliver the bass hit you are looking for.

For the sound quality you are looking for, you need to be looking at "real" headphones from headphone manufacturers like Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Grado, etc. You need to avoid "computer gaming" peripheral manufacturers like Razer, Logitech, Steelseries, etc.

Another tip from me: If you want something that emphasises on bass, look at closed, or semi-closed headphones. Open headphones usually have average bass.

Hey thanks for some info, from what I read Beyerdynamic 770 Pro 80hz seem to be popular, so I'm gonna be on a lookout for some decent deal (hoping for black friday).
Now I gotta figure out what mini amp do I need for these.

You don't need an amp to power the 80ohm version, but you may get a better experence using one. The 250ohm version paired with an amp should be a better choice, if you take a closer look at head-fi.org.

    Beyerdynamic makes awesome headphones!

A-700 all the way! I have AD700 and I can't recommend them enough, but for gaming the closed A series is better. The open design on my AD is a little bit better for music but obviously sound leaks out.

I noticed that A700 or DT770 seem to be the ones mentioned the most.
I'm guessing they're pretty good for the money.

If you have the chance, try them out before you buy them. It's best to find out their comfort and soundstage after burn-in. Some people have problems with the wing design on the A700, but in my opinion it is the most comfortable design I've ever worn.

For gaming, movies, and music, i will pick Sennheiser HD650 or Denon D5000. Head-fi.org consider Sennheiser hd650 is best headphone for music and movie with price-range around $300 to $500.

I bought the Roccat Kulo a couple of weeks ago, has a small USB sound card built that the two audio jacks plug into. Gives good virtual 7.1 surround. Work's great in MW3 MP, can hear everything with really good directionality. They go for $100-$120 on eBay.
