Hey everyone, I am looking into getting a good gaming microphone.

I'd prefer it be wireless (I think the 360 wireless headset will work with the wireless fob I have to use with my 360 PC controller), but I prefer quality of voice more than whether it was wireless or not. Let's assume I don't care about price.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Your microphone squealing at other players? Haha.

What game are you planning on using it on? Because I'm pretty sure most games limit the bit rate of any microphone to improve bandwidth for the game servers. Nobody wants a laggy server right? If so that would mean that a $20 generic computer mic could possibly sound as good as an $800 sennheiser studio mic. Then again it's just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.

Also, what is promting you to seek quality, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't have a microphone. I'd like to get one that is decent for gaming as I said before. Basically, I'd be using it for FPS, like TF2. When I say quality, I implied quality for what I will be using it for, gaming. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and get something that is more or less bulletproof than get something cheap that is going to fail on me.

This USB Logitech mic has served me well for a good year or two. My father and I use it on google talk and it sounds pretty good for 20 bucks. Its wired but it does a good job.

If you want to hear it pm you're steam id and we'll join a TF2 game.

Also this thread reminded me of the good ol' CS days when all you heard from people's mics was mumbling ;)
