    Hi,
I am looking for a good over-ear headphone around 50$~70$. This headphone will be mostly used for music and watching movies @ my desktop (I am using on board sound card Asus P5Q. I am using G15 speakers and very very happy with it) - . Sometimes, I also played games (Crysis WH, Devil May Cry, etc. - I dont need 5.1 headphone, though)
    What I concern is:
    1/Sound Quality
    2/Durable
    3/Brand name
    5/Price

Currently, what in my list is:
    -HD 205
    -HD 485
    -SteelSeries Siberia
I am open to new suggestions.

Should I also buy a sound card for my headphone?

    Thank you to your suggestions.

I highly recommend any Sennheisers. ;)

Getting a soundcard is definitely a good idea if you want better sound.

If its only for headphones (or 2.1 speakers via heaphone jack), a Sounblaster X-Fi Go is a good idea - I have one.

If you need more, like 5.1 or even 7.1 support, have a good look at the Creative website.

I am statisfied with the output from my G15 speaker without sound card.
But every headphones (cheap & low quality) I have tried without sound card completely disappoint me.

I would get an external DAC and amp to avoid interference from the internals of your laptop. I have no personal experience with any headphones in your stated price range, so I can't offer an informed opinion there. Headfi would be a better place to research this... man I feel like a broken record.

Is there a difference between 555 and 595?

Yes there is, I can't say because I haven't owned either of them. But I personally use the Ultrasone HFI-780's which are out of the price range, but I think they're very fun to listen to. I used to use the HD580's and I'd rather listen to the HFI-780's.

HD555 is the highest "mid" end headphone line and HD 595 is their lowest "high" end headphone line up.

If you plan to buy a amp, then get HD 595.
If you don't plan to buy a amp, get the HD 555.
