    Heyas.

I use a TargusXL when I have to carry around my 17" laptop (dell e1705); unfortunately for me, with a slightly gimped left shoulder the weight of the thing is a little bit much, especially since I have to carry around a 15.4" laptop for work (M60).

I realize that a greater majority of the people here are looking for backpacks, etc that cater more to the campus-traveling college student. Are there any suggestions you guys may have, though, for rollers that could accomodate both my PCs for easier hauling through the airport? An oversized carry-on that can detach the laptop compartment would work as well, if good bags exist with such a feature.

I saw that one as well, but the comment there about frequent breaks kinda turned me off. the size (9.5" depth) means it won't meet some airport regulations either, on the offhand chance that they actually follow them.

I think I've decided on this one -- full leather, detachable wheels (!), small enough to fit in RJ145 jets under the seat or overhead, and maybe durable enough to outlast the notebook. Probably could just buy a neoprene case for the 15.4" dell (not that I need to -- that thing's been banged up to hell as far as I can remember) and that would cover pretty much what I need.

That looks like a good bag. I didn't realize that the Kensington one was too big for some planes and regulations.

I have a Victorinox brief that just barely slides under the coach seat in front of me--but if it were packed full I doubt it would work. Has carried my notebook safely on an airplane so far though...so good to know you were checking up on dimensions rather than being sorry about it at the wrong time.
