    I do, in fact, have a esata/usb port. Worthwhile because it's powered through the port? Sorry, I need a little clarification

    Yes - eliminates the need for an extra cable to power it, either from an ac adapter or USB. A bit more convenient.

    can you point me in the direction of one that can take advantage of the combo port? I've found a lot that have esata and usb ports, but I'm never sure what can take advantage of the combo port (cheaper the better obviously). Thanks in advance.
