I just got a new 1950x1080 hd 22'' widescreen and I'm using it with my laptop. I know how to setup the displays to show one or the other or to connect the displays however I'm wondering if I can have custom settings for each display.

So for example the display on my laptop is 1200x800 and all the icons are the right size and its visually appealing. However once I jump over to the 1950x1080hd everything "appears" smaller and is more straining on the eyes. I can make the icons bigger through control panel and I can increase the size of text on web pages, but these setting will all carry over to my 1200x800 laptop display and it will look funny.

When I say I "jump over" I mean I'm using only 1 display at a time. I don't want to use both at the same time. Ideally I'll be able to take my laptop to school and do my thing there and when I get home and I'd like to game or do whatever I'd like to be able to just plug right into my monitor and get going without having to customize the settings every time.

Other than changing the resolution of my external monitor, does anyone know a way I can have 2 separate settings, one for each display?

I do not believe there is such a way besides setting the DPI settings every time you switch monitors.

Most custom setting can be saved.
