Hey, I just wanted to know where I could get a full size HD case for Desktop HD. Anyone know I good place or brand to get? I'm hopingto find one under $20 if possible.

I found one one E-bay but its for a notebook and I dont have any EXTRA notebook HD around so I'm thinking of using the extra Desktop HD as a External back up or traiding files.

If you can't answer the question above do you know where I could find a Notebook Casing too? doesn't hurt to buy one for future use.

    Thanks!

Well, using the 3.5" drivers for external storage is a good idea, but they require an AC adapter to operate. They require a lot more power to run and will not run off your USB's power. Therefore you're always gonna have to carry an adapter with you. I'd go spend a bit more for a mid-large notebook drive and case. This way, all you need is the drive & a USB cable.

If you do want to get the 3.5" cases, you can checkout www.NewEgg.com for the cases. They have a bunch in stock & some are as low as $19.99 for some lesser known brands.

Compuseless also seem to be quite a good place, I can't recall the exact price, but I'm pretty sure that my notebook external casing was very cheap, it's just compuseless's own brand, but I've never had any issues with it.

You may try usb->ide adapter like this http://sewelldirect.com/usbtoide.asp , easier to carry than a case but it still comes with a power adapter which is not light.
