Wasn't really sure where to throw this, but I suppose it fits best here. I'm having some problems with using my HDTV as an external monitor. Images look fine, but text is not clear, and looks...grainy? The monitor is 1080p. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

TV might have some kind of "image enhancement" features turned on. While they sometimes make broadcast better looking, computer desktop image quality is destroyed.

My colleaque had same problem with his Sony TV. Apparently image enhancement was impossible to turn off when using hdmi so he connected with vga instead.

Are you sure your resolution is correct? It could be trying to scale 16:10 into 16:9.

I think I have it fixed via some CCC settings, as well as some settings on my tv. I will verify tomorrow at some point.
