I'm a college student. I don't have a ton of money, but I want some damn good speakers and all I keep hearing about are these particular ones.
I'll probably have to update my sound card, correct? I just have integrated audio, for now.
EDIT: What about these alternatives:

The Logitech x-230 is pretty darn good for a 2.1 speaker system. I own a pair and the sound is amazing.

I second the X-230. They're only around 35 dollars at newegg.com
They are great speakers! -
I wasn't aware Logitech had a Z3000...do you mean the Z2300?
You can hook them up to your computer just fine even with an integrated soundcard. -
I'm surprised the first two posters didn't mention the Z3000 mistake
I think he really does mean the Z2300. In any case, look to spend about $120 on these. I have these and I think they're AWESOME. However, I wish I had gotten the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 instead. The Klipsch doesn't have as much bass or pure volume loudness, but the bass on the Z2300 is HUGE and often overpowering, and I never turn up my speakers up past 50% anyways. The Klipsch supposedly has better mids and highs though. It'll cost you a bit more (though retails are the same). I got mine from Techonweb.com
*Edit* I got mine for $114 shipped I believe. I used to run it through a Creative Xmod, but I'm just using integrated Intel HD audio right now and it's perfectly fine. -

I do mean the Logitech Z-2300s.
EDIT: I've decided to go with the x-230s and I'll upgrade as I feel necessary. -
I just ordered those last night.
HELP! Find me the best price for the Logitech Z-3000 speakers
