HELP with Bag, Router and Base - Getting New Laptop

Hello I will be purchasing the dv9500t (17") laptop and a Revolution Logitech mouse and I would like some advice on the accesories.

I would like to get a wireless router since I do not have one and would like to go with a G or a cheap N if you have any recommendations. I don't know if my cable is fast enough for N, I have Time Warner Cable San Diego Road Runner.

I am wondering if I should get the HP xb300 for $150. Otherwise I would just put the laptop on my desk or maybe connect it to a monitor and get a external keyboard, if there are any. Any other bases you recommend?

I would want to get a cheap laptop bag, preferably backpack, that will definitely protect the laptop.

Any other accesories that I need? Do I need an AC adapter for the car or anything else like that? Anyone???

The xb300 looks like a good base, but I am not expert on this.

There are a bunch of wireless routers in the market. LinkSys, Netgear and DLink are reputable.
