Hello guys, kinda newbi here, I'm from Indonesia. :) OK, enough for the intro :D

i have questions about my brand new cooler master notepal U2 for my toshiba m200 E434

    1. Where should i put the fan for the best position?
    2. i saw a thread for notepal U2 review (that's why i bought U2) he did not mentioned that i can not use the all the hole to attach my fans. on some position the fan hit the floor or desk below.
    3. the fan is very very slow :( how to make faster? should i buy new fans?
    4. i bought the notepall for $20, did i made the wrong decision?
    5. the CPU temp now at 72 C, i don't know the previous temp before used the notepal though. the question is is that ok?

    another question
    1. I'm looking for thread or website about "how to make a USB fan, from scratch" (USB powered) where can I find it?

thanks a lot for the help :)

    Hi,
first of all, can you provide a pic for the bottom of your laptop, so we can advice you on the best placement of the fans? cpu temp 72 C is rather high... have you tried undervolting?

here is thread regarding making your own cooler http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=300297

there is quite alot of tutorials is you search

I'm in Jakarta too, may I ask where you bought the notepal U2? I'm currently using notepal infinite.

ummm...i dont have any camera :( or any such thing...BUT I found the hotspot :) its on the left palm (harddisk) maybe the HD heat causing all of this, i will bring my laptop to the the authorized dealer.

undervolting? I don't know what's that, but I'm using notebook hardware control software. Decrease the clock modulation and working. by decreasing modulation clock i got 50 C on 50%...to slow :( LOL

    are you Indonesian? :D I bought the U2 for 207.000 IDR...more or less $20..err I'm I right?
bought U2 in mall mangga 2 mall, its on the 5th floor block C, its the cheapest of all....sadly I forgot the name of the store...I'll tell you later promise

I was planing to bought the infinite too, but the price still high for me, so I bought the U2...I like the freedom :) but not the speed of the U2 though...lazy fan :twitchy: tell me bout your infinite

owh yaaa, thanks for the link you gave, hohay..better start right away :)

Please do not bump your thread, especially after four hours, give it a minimum of 24 hours.

As stated in the notebook buyers guide( which you should have read before a purchase to make sure you buy the right notebook cooler) align it with your vents. you may have to try out a couple spots and also try hot spots.
Note, I have continuously mentioned that you must lift up the front of the cooler, in the review and throughout various cooler threads including the review one.

This will allow better fan placement and furthermore increase airflow. The fans are actually not that slow when compared to many other notebook coolers fans, they are average.
Depends on the ventilation and cooling system of your notebook.
Its an acceptable temp, though for more details in temperatures visit Cooling Central (search it in top right box)

did I bump my thread? oopps sorry X2P, I don't know that :) I won't do that again, promise :)

this time I read very carefully on your review..lift the front end...targeting the hotspot..YEY! it works! now the temp is 50 C (undervolting and reposition the fan )on idle. My left palm still on fire though, maybe I'll check it out the Hard drive. Big thanks X2P!! :) but...

question: I'm using Notebook Hardware Control and RMclock to monitor all the system. I'm confuse about it. on the tray sez: NTHCM: CPU Clock: 1995-1997Mhz but RMclock sez 1.20GHZ sometimes it goes to 2GHZ in a blink then down to 1.20GHZ again, very fast...and I already run the RMclock undervolting on multiply 10x 1.1500v (def 1.750v)

So, which one is the real clock then?

    regards,
