I just got my new laptop yesterday and as I undid the packaging I looked at one of the flyers and it said "HP Expresscard Analog/Digital Tuner now supports clear QAM signals."

Well that's just perfect...the reason I didn't get it with my notebook was because that was NOT a listed feature, so I was gonna go out and get another TV tuner. So here's a question...

Do you need to get a new tuner or does it already work with existing digital tuners and just needs a software update to unlock the QAM feature? IF so, I just might buy my brother's off him since he doesn't use his.

Did you ever find out the answer? If all that is needed is a software update?
