Ok, I got burned by buying one notebook, having it crap out. Then buy another to replace it as they said it was only that model having problems, the other notebook had the exact same probelm...mb troubles.

I owned an HP 2207 monitor at that time as well, to this day its a great monitor. I love it. So I got on HP.ca website last week, and noticed the new IPS monitor. The product on their site looked the same as my 2207. Great I thought, new IPS monitor with the same look, and feel of my 2207.

I unbox it, no glossy screen, the design of the monitor is totally different, and the actual picture quality is HORRIBLE.

I call HP to get some kind of setup ideas to make it useable. They put me off and said I would have to pay for the help...NO EFFIN thanks..

Now I have to pay a 15% restocking fee to get this peice of trash back and order something else.

HP. Last time you get my money!

Rant over....Do not by HP. Garbage products with Garbage support!

A little update after a mental cool down. HP were no use to me as the monitor was hooked up to an Acer notebook. So I decided to do some research. Found out the monitor does not like certain video drivers going direct HDMI. Added my dvi adapter and plugged it in and the monitor is working as it should. It has a great picture, but I'm still very much ticked its not glossy, and the stand is not as advertised. The monitor itself is a good deal for the image quality you get however.

I love glossy monitors. Just look better. I have no issues with them, but this new monitor is very nice now that its working correctly.

I prefer matte mostly as well. Glossy can be good but only at night and the colors are not as accurate.
