I'm thinking of ordering a HP LP2475w, here from UK. HP UK hasn't got the new ZR series monitors yet. Anyway, I was wondering if our expert forum members can share their experience or any possible problem that I may face whilst using it with my Dell XPS M1330 laptop [1].

I'd like to use the HDMI port for that purpose. But will I face any problem whilst playing my .mkv, .ts, etc. files?

Also please advise me if I should get the soundbar with the monitor as well.

    Regards

    Ash

The HP LP2475w is similar to the Dell U2410 both of which uses the H-IPS LCD. It is extremely good for movies, photoeditting, due to the colour accuracy and wide viewing angle.

    Hello everyone

I have the monitor with me...working very well, so far. However there is one small thing that's bugging me for the last few days...whenever i leave the hp monitor on, and then when come back to my computer i see that laptop's lcd panel is on, instead of the HP. I'm not really sure why it's happening.

    Some info:
    - Win XP professional
    - Laptop (XPS M1330) comes with the nvidia gpu.
    - Ext. display is connected through HDMI
    - Installed HP Display Assistant (comes with the monitor)
    - tried from nvidia display settings too.
    - i set the hdmi as the main connection the options available from monitor (, whilst it works)
    - if I restart or lock and then log in then things seem to work ok.

Can anyone please try to point out what I'm doing wrong. It would be a great help if someone can kindly share the installation and setup workflow, so that i can get the ext display work
