    HP Tv Tuner Remote Control Problem

    Hello Friends

    I have a HP Dv6701US
    and recently i bought the Tv Tuner Pc express card Ec680 Yuan analogue.
    The one originally for this laptop model was the Analogue/digital one.
    The problem i have now is that the remote control that comes with the card works for just 5 seconds when you use it, then goes dead. if you let the remote rest for like 2 minutes, you can use it, but again just for a few seconds.
    What do you think guys?
    do you think this can be the result of having to remote control ports? (1 the original one of the laptop and 2 the USB one of the card)
    BTW
    the little remote that comes with the PC works without a problem all the time.
    The only problem with this little remote is that doesnt have numbers and is very hard and tricky to push the buttons.

    im not so sure, but is it becuz remote dont work in windows media center?

    The remote has the green button of the WMC so i think is made for the program.
    What i think is that this Tv card model is for older HP laptops, and older laptops didn't had a remote control receiver, the one i have already have one, and maybe the system gets confused for receiving the signal from 2 ports, the one built in and the USB one.
    I don't think is because of the batteries cause a red light flashes on the USB receiver every time i press on the remote so the signal gets there but nothing happens.
    ill try more things
    any ideas are welcome

    and it takes a DUMBA.. like me to not to check the batteries...

    i thought batteries wasnt the case cause was the batteries that came with the card, but you know as usual the simple answer is normally the right one
