I am looking for a good cooling pad with a USB hub for my HP zv5000 series notebook since it generates a lot of heat during gameplay. Any recommendations out there?

Vantec's Lapcool2 has been recommended. There's a review here. There's a newer version out now, main difference appears to be 80mm fans instead of 70mm. No USB hub in either model though.

Actually, as a zv5000 owner myself, I've found that the best and cheapest way to dissipate heat is to place two identical books under the farthest two corners. (Ethernet and Kensington lock corners) The fans never turn on to full speed whenever I do this and you should be able to game comfortably for over 5 hours.

Also, look up one of the numerous undervolting threads here. CrystalCPUID and Rightmark are the two favored utilities. Cuts maximum power consumption (and heat) waaaay down.

Thanks, I'll check these out. I am trying out and Antec Notebook Coooler (I have two notebooks) and I will let you know the results.

ahhh, yes - I used the same approach but this is a little easier to maneuver: I cut a 12" piece of 1x2 pine and put it across under the back legs. It even goes in a slot in my traveling bag. Minor cost factor over two books, assuming you already had two the appropriate size, but then I already had the 1x2 laying around.
