Using an HVR-950, I've noticed something strange:

When watching TV by itself (no other programs running), I have no problems whatsoever...

But if I do something else (usually browsing the 'net), after awhile, the audio will separate from the video, and if you're watching something where you are looking at people talking, it's truly annoying!

    Thanks for any help...

Are you running the latest software available from Hauppauge? I think there were a few updates that helped with that...though admittedly I haven't used my tuner much recently.

    Yes...using the latest software.

Problem still no solved...if I just sit and watch TV, then everything is fine, but if I go back and forth between the 'net and TV, the audio doesn't match the video! Really annoying!

Try bumping the WinTV2000 program's priority up a notch. You can do that in Task Manager easily enough. My PVR USB2 does the same thing.

I've seen it happen, but only when the program doesn't get enough CPU power.

Teddy's got a good idea here. Also, try re-installing all the Hauppauge software, but uncheck the "Do not use hardware graphics acceleration" option at the beginning. If your GPU can help you, it will make a difference.
