I'm trying to still decide between these two tv tuners...

Quality and the ability to take the raw video and play on other devices (ipod + xbox 360) are very important, and I have a t7300 Core 2 which should hopefully not be too taxed. On a final note, I am interested in being able to hook up a video game system through the expresscard, but I'm not sure how much lag there might be.

Cost will be roughly similar (~$50-$65 each on ebay/retail)

Personally I would go with the Hauppauge 950 USB TV Tuner. I've done some research and it seems to be pretty solid. I had an HP Expresscard TV Tuner however it was only analog/digital and didn't recieve HD channels. Thus I can't really compare the two.

The only this is that I only have access to analog cable at my school...how was the expresscard's quality?

    It wasn't bad I suppose. On a scale from 1 to 10 with (10) being 1080i and 1 being static I give it a 6.

It would get pretty hot after using it for awhile though, not sure if all of them do.
