    I'm just wondering, how many of you that have a Webcam actually use it?!

    :confused:

    I'm just curious about this... but also...

    I'm trying to decide between the ASUS Z62j (webcam, a bit cheaper, decent specs) and ASUS W3j (no webcam, more expensive, sexy looking, better specs)...

    I'm going away for 8 months and won't be seeing my girlfriend so I thought that a webcam would be nice... so how many of you are in a similar situation and use often or NEED a webcam??

    Its good for talking to family that you dont really see too often. Pretty nice feature to have.

    I use my Sanyo Xacti VPC-E6 digital camera as a webcam.

    Works great, and the quality is superb! DVD streaming quality! :cool:

    I don't really need a webcam. I have no use for it, never use video chat or anything, and I have a digital camera.

    Yes - Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro - used regularly for Yahoo Messenger to see/hear folks across the globe. Great tool if you have family living somewhere else. Free communication :)

    You can also use a digital camcorder with USB or fwire - Panasonic's USB works with MSN but not Yahoo :mad: but can be made to work using 3rd party software vendor.

    Don't own but have used a logitech cam very nice gift from girlfriend who wanted to keep in touch when she moved to chicago-don't have it anymore and don't keep in touch anymore either.

    I wouldn't mind having one built in to my next system

    I think of this as worthless.

    Fortunately this webcam fad probably only adds about $10 to the laptop retail price

    once consumers see this idea in action theyll never buy a laptop with one again.
