    Have you tried USB rechargeable batteries?

    capacity going to be severely lower than proper rechargeables, better get a usb battery charger, and use that to charge 2 proper NiCd batteries or something.

    Had this sort of idea product at local £ shop, they sucked, would leak, poor charge etc. most likely just due to quality, but keep in mind this needs a step down from the 5v and charging circuitry built it. there isn't much room, add that to having to have some space for battery itself AND the usb plug... its not a great idea...

    while its handy, a much better idea is to get a set of proper rechargeable batteries plus a charger for them... much better idea imo, unless you need them for a certain specific purpose where the normal ones wont work... (maybe travel for some gadget, so you can charge off laptop... then again a separate usb charger for batteries which runs off usb rather than mains sounds like a better idea...)
