Just recently bought ASUS VG245H monitor and it seems that I'm unable to get 75FPS with Vsync turned on (and probably without) while gaming. I'm able to get 75FPS when a game isn't running (Desktop background).

I have set the screen refresh rate 75Hz on Windows control panel and Nvidia control panel. Currently the ASUS monitor is set to primary monitor.

    Any help would be appreciated.

That setting might only be supported on AMD GPUs since you're using a FreeSync monitor. What are the rest of your system specs?

    It's a Sager NP9377
    i7-4710MQ
    GTX 980M 8Gb
    8Gb RAM at 1600MHz

I realized after I bought the monitor FreeSync is for AMD GPU (I'm an idiot I know). But if 75Hz only supported by FreeSync then I shouldn't be seeing 75Hz at all correct? Because I see 75Hz while on a normal Desktop background (there is a built in FPS counter in the monitor) but just not on fullscreen games.

I think I found the problem. I was running my games on windowed mode. Not fullscreen. I've tested on KillingFloor, L4D2, Sniper Elite V2, Diablo 3. The draw back of running in fullscreen is that I have to Alt+Tab to have my mouse to my second screen (laptop), which is kinda tedious.

But I cannot seem to get 75Hz on PAYDAY: The Heist or on PAYDAY 2. Weird.
