Just looking for some ideas for a high quality pair of headphones for my sons Inspiron 6000. This will be used on long road trips for watching movies and videos.
    Thanks.

I use these with my Inspiron 6000, my iPod Mini, and just about everything else. They aren't the cheapest (You can probably get them much cheaper on ebay) but they aren't bad priced for noise canceling headphones. They sound great, are very well built (My pair lasts and lasts, and I am rough on them), lightweight and they fold making them easy to carry. I love them. My 9 year old little brother uses them with his PSP sometimes and they fit him well.

Yeah those ^ are pretty good, but I have learned that The Sharper Image, and Brookstone are overpriced.

Chaz, thanks for the link. As a matter of fact the last time that I was on this site (about 1 year ago), you helped me find a good notebook for my son.
dhacmbs, he is going to be 11.

What I realized after reading the site that Chaz posted was that my son already has headphones for his guitar...and they are compatible to his notebook. Maybe not the best (Nady QH 360), but for now they will do.

    Thanks.

If you're still open to suggestions, then the AKG K81DJ might be worth a look. They're reportedly very good headphones, and they're closed, so you won't have to worry about sound leakage in either direction.

I think they go for about $50-$60 USD.

I'd suggest Sennheiser PX100's Or PX100W if you want the white ones. Theres also a cheaper pair without the carrying case that go around the back of the head instead of over the top; PMX100. All of these can be found at www.newegg.com and are considered the best headphones you can get under $50.
