Well i'm starting to get more into PC gaming. It would like to get a headset help with this. I would like it also to work with the 360, due to the crappy headset it comes with.
Price would be ~$100
Thanks.

Astro A40's were like specifically made for this, but they will run you alot more than $100 i think. still should check them out.
-
Yea, $250 is just a "tad" out of budget. None the less they look amazing, don't know how looks carry over to sound quality though.
-
Razer's new Chimaera headset is designed for the Xbox 360, and should probably work with PC as well. There's not really many details out yet though.

I have Tritton AX 720 which works with all consoles and pc.

Anyone else have any more suggestions?

Sennheiser HD555, clearly the best set of headphones on the market. I had these when they first came out and I basically ripped kids in games that used sound as a critical tool to find out the positions of people. (e.g Counter Strike 1.6/Source)
If anybody tells you differently, their opinions are invalid and have no clue what they are talking about because the only "headphones" they have owned are iPod headphones (although they are not bad if you are just owning kids in public servers).
Also these 'phones come with the 3.5mm jack converter, which I believe fit into the 360 controller. You might not be able to talk to other people, but why in the world would you use headphones for hearing other people talk? LOL 7.1 Surround Sound of 12 year old kids screaming, god that would be rich. /sarcasm
The only downside to these phones is that they don't have a microphone, but there are plenty of cheap, quality desktop microphones on the market.
You can probably look around the Sennheiser website for headphone/mic combination, but I think they cost a little bit more.
tl;dr SENNHEISER HD555 is the best -
I know the greatness of the HD555, told my friends parents to get him a pair. But the problem is that I want a mic with it, and it to work with my 360.
-
Actually, I think Sennheiser 595 is the best on the market.

^The 595 cost twice as much as the 555

I still stand on my opinion, just get a separate desktop microphone.
I still don't know the purpose of trying to plug it into the 360 controller, you would only hear the voice of other people, and not the game sounds.
Unless you love hearing screaming little kids, and suburban wannabe-gangster-white kids in surround sound. -
that's the point? you hear the fantastic game sounds on your home theater system and the voice chat through the headset....
so im interested in a HD555 + ZM1 microphone...the popular combo that has been around for a while.
is there ANY way possibly to get that to work with an xbox 360/ps3? ANY WAY! -
-
bump...so does anyone know how to convert a standard 3.5mm headphone+mic into the xbox connector? talking about using a standard mic + standard headphone for a 360...
the only thing close i could find was what steelseries' siberia neckband connector, is that part available by independently?
btw, if the OP is interested, here is a review for it. -
I'm going to save up for the Astro A40
