Stay away from Platronics. They hurt your ears and are made cheaply. IceMat is ok except they make crappy mics. So far best Headset I've come across are the Speed-Link Medusa's. They are 5.1 surround sound and the mic is flawless, perfect quality and everything. You can hear all the footsteps in F.E.A.R. The company is incredible with customer support and I did not have any problems and they answered all the questions I had. I got the Progamer version, but of course you can get the Laptop one as well and its abit cheaper. You will be surprised at the quality of these.

I don't want to spend more than $60 for a headset.

Anyone other good headsets for less than $60?

I've bought an "EDNET 5.1 VIBRATION HEADSET" for 50euro. I'm very happy about it. Really gives you the feeling that you're in the battle you're fighting

Well, I'd like to say that the iCEMAT Siberia headsets are really nice. They're pretty comfy. The mic is one of the best you can get in a computer headset and it's even detachable. The earphones are of decent quality, not Grado quality, but still very good. I have one friend who bought the Siberia headset and has just been using the mic since he bought a pair of Grado SR60s.
Unfortunately I don't have any better suggestions than the Siberias, they're some of the best you can get for the money. -
I have a Plantronics similar to the one you have on here, and it honestly feels fine on my head even after several hours. The sound is great for hearing where people are coming from even in crowded public servers. As far as the mic goes, it's not the greatest, but it's not terrible either; I don't worry too much if my voice doesn't sound quite normal, the important thing is that my teammates can hear me plenty well enough to understand what I'm saying.

I think i might get the icemat siberias but i'm worried about the mic. Can you attach it to the headphone or do you have to clip it on your shirt and i hear that the mic isn't that good either. Also in newegg they have two icemat versions. They have the icemat siberia with a 3.5mm and the iCEMAT 10062 with a 3.5mm/ USB Connector. One comes with a usb soundcard and the other doesn't but are similar in price. Whats the other difference? Is the siberia better quality?

i love my siberias but you gotta watch out because they are more fragile compared to other headphones. and as for the mic ive used it with ventrillo alot and everyone liked the quality that it recorded at. when i used my mic most of the time i would clip it to the headphone wire a few inches lower than the headphone so that it was at the level of my shirt collar because i was lazy and it was easier to quickly take them off if i wanted to get up.
