I'm looking for a new headset allthou I bought a new 1 month ago. Creative HS900 has crappy sound quality and worthless bass. (Response Bandwidth 20 - 20000 Hz)

I have Philips HS900 Headphones to my MP3-player and those have very good sound quality and good bass! (Response Bandwidth 10 - 28000 Hz)

I would like to have a headset suited for gaming with much better sound quality than Creative HS900.

Someone have opinions / suggestions?

Haha, just relized that they have the same model name. :p

I have a Razer Barracuda headset and I love it. The sound gets even better if you have surround sound plugs on your computer (or you get an adapter). The only catch being that they are USB powered. I also hear lots of good things about the Alienware Ozma headphones:

These Creative headphones are supposed to be really good but they are expensive:

A headphone has better SQ than a headset.
So you can't find a good headset ;)

Yeah... headphones do have better SQ in general. But.. there must be some good headsets. I mean, they are headphones with a mic attached.

Totally missed that you were asking for a headset. My bad. I definitely recommend the Razer for that.

However, they tend to target different markets and made by different companies...

Right... they are computer headphones for gaming. That's what the topic creator needed them for. They do surround sound.

If you want sound quality, you need to get something from an audio company.. not a gaming company. I've heard those barracuda's once before at my friend's, and they're not that all that great...

    Beyerdynamic MMX 300

Otherwise, go for a sennheiser. they have $30 and $80 headsets at newegg that are pretty good.

Although not a headset, I love my Pioneer DIR-800Cs. Great for music, DVDs, and gaming. It supports Dolby PL II and Dolby Headphone (decodes 5.1) & DTS. No wires!

i have a fatality as well. i love it. best thing is that it is comfortable. those 30 hour lans really give your head a work out with dodgy headphones. but the fatality was rather good on my poor ears.
